We are the only home in Somerset currently to receive this award, the region covers the whole of the south west so It's a fantastic achievement and a great boost for the staff who work so hard to provide a lovely environment and excellent care for our residents. We are absolutely delighted to receive this award in recognition of the hard work and dedication of the entire team at The Old Vicarage. The thank you letters and reviews we have received from the residents and their families makes everything we do worthwhile.

Our team have worked tirelessly throughout the pandemic to ensure that the residents have continued to be well looked after, both physically, mentally and emotionally. We are proud that our team have maintained a happy, safe and secure community for everyone. We were very fortunate that no resident contracted COVID throughout the pandemic. The team went above and beyond to ensure that everyone was kept safe and spirits remained high despite us all being separated from our loved ones.

Our beautiful garden was re-designed just before the first lockdown and has provided the most wonderful space for residents and staff to share. Our full-time social activities include gardening classes amongst many others and this years construction of a greenhouse has been a wonderful addition. We are a small rural home and rely heavily on the dedication and goodwill of our wonderful team and they thoroughly deserve this award, they are an amazing group of people.
