We have made the most of activities in the garden, with boules and other active games on the lawn; flexercise, quizzes, music and poetry. Anything really that can be done in the Garden when the weather allows and if too hot, we can do in the shade.
Our garden projects are doing well; we have sweet peas for the dining room every week, our tubs are brimming with colour and our cherry tomatoes are ripening. The plants we grew from seed last year either have flowered or are about to flower, so generally there is great proudness with the achievements.
In art and craft we decided fans would be a good idea, considering the heat wave that we experienced and the table was set out under the trees. The fans were cut out and then were decorated in various ways; with drawings, cutting flowers out of paper and with stickers. We punched a hole in the bottom and fixed it together with a metal eye rivet, they came in very handy straight away.
The vegetables are growing well and we're looking forward to beetroot and runner beans soon, followed by potatoes in the early autumn.
