The highlight of the month was undoubtedly the Owl Enlightenment Experience, a big thank you to Michelle and Ozzy who brought in seven owls; two Southern White-Faced Owls, Two Indian Scops Owls, a Barn Owl, a Black Barn Owl and a Tawny Owl.
Residents were able to hold the owls using the protective gloves and really experience an up-close encounter. We weren't allowed to stroke them although it was very tempting! It was a very interesting and special afternoon.
The Covid vaccine team visited to provide residents with their spring booster. We had an unannounced Environmental Health inspection and retained our 5 Star status. Thank you to the cooks and all staff who work in the kitchen, maintaining the high standards necessary.
Congratulations to our fabulous Deputy Manager Leah who after two and a half years of hard work has obtained her Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management. A great achievement!
We have had our usual fun activities and games, music quizzes, exercise sessions, music afternoons and church services. In one of our craft sessions residents made a large mosaic square, cutting up tiles to fit to make a design. The tiles were then glued onto a board in various patterns and eventually we will grout them in. They look very effective.
