The mosaic tiles were grouted and the results were really nice.
Jan took a beautiful Ascension Day Service and we enjoyed some lovely hymns, prayers and poems.
Dr Andy Douglas came in and played his guitar and ukulele, he brought a surprise guest, a gentleman called Simon from Kenya. He had been in 'The Voice' and nearly reached the semi-finals but unfortunately was unable to finish the competition. We knew we were in for a treat and we weren't disappointed, he had a beautiful voice. He sung for us with a variety of songs including; I did it my way, Country Road and How Great Thou Art.
Hazel came in and played her Harp again, she played some lovely melodies, some of which she had composed herself and some that residents previously had requested for her to adapt for the Harp, it was another really lovely afternoon of music.
There has been more gardening now the weather has been a bit drier and it's been good to see more residents and families using the garden. The plants are looking good for produce later in the year, particularly the beetroot, peppers and potatoes and the tomato plants that we've grown from seed have just been planted in the greenhouse.
In art and craft residents made some lovely flowers made from old books which looked really effective.
We had our usual exercise classes, games and music sessions.
Congratulations !!!!!
