This month's art and craft was to create some stained-glass type images out of tissue paper, it was enjoyable to do and the residents were very pleased with the results. They look very effective on the windows.
We've had some good singing sessions, a friend of one of the residents came and entertained us one afternoon, he had a lovely powerful voice.
On D-Day, 6th June David Milton joined us singing quite a few songs from musicals relating to the war years.
We had the two Chris's join us on different occasions, Chris who plays the organ performed a lovely selection of tunes, with some we can join in with. Chris came in and played the guitar, all his songs we can sing-a-long to and luckily he sings too to keep us on the right track. Everyone enjoyed the musical afternoons as always.
The vegetables are doing well and the residents have picked the first of our produce; some lovely looking courgettes which the residents have already enjoyed from the kitchen. We're not sure what's going to come next but tomatoes and cucumbers are coming along well together with the peppers. The beetroot, onions and potatoes are all looking healthy.
On fine days we have enjoyed some nice walks through the village. We've had the usual games, reading sessions, bingo, quizzes and exercise sessions.
