The weather has certainly got much colder but the colours in the garden are beautiful.
We enjoyed a lovely drive up onto the Quantocks on a sunny afternoon, the views were stunning. Weather permitting, we are hoping to get out and about every month.
We enjoyed our second trip to Combwich Market on the second Saturday of the month. The residents enjoyed the craft stalls and a hot drink.
Rene and Ellie; our Bridgwater College students have continued to join us weekly, and residents have been enjoying the board games they participate in, introducing them to some new ones, and in active games everyone enjoyed a fair bit of exercise too.
Steve Holford came and sung; everyone enjoyed his songs with some old favourites and new. Chris came and played the organ and brought his microphone along so we could hear residents clearer when they were singing.
The weather was good enough mid-November to allow one resident a trip to Steart Marshes, he hired out the WWT Trumper and we spent a couple of hours going from one hide to another. There were only a few bird species around, but we witnessed a Peregrine Falcon scare up a flock of lapwings. He certainly enjoyed his trip and is looking forward to the next with perhaps sightings of Spoonbill's and Avocet's if we're lucky.
In arts and craft residents made lovely Christmas cards for their families and friends.
We're looking forward to a busy festive period with lots of fun organised to get us in the Christmas spirit.
Congratulations !!!!!
