The Vicarage was a lovely place to be over the Coronation weekend, handmade knitted bunting and flags adorned the lounge, with more outside strung between the trees. The team did a wonderful job ensuring the enjoyment of this momentous occasion. Our cooks created wonderful food all over the weekend, beautiful cakes and a buffet that included the coronation quiche.
Everyone watched the Coronation on the 'Day'. Mark joined us again the next day to sing 50s, 60s and 70s songs which was lovely and we even managed to enjoy some dancing.
We also had a quiz on kings and queens of England and a sing along to our LP music.
It's been lovely to see all enjoying the garden again with the wonderful weather we've recently had. Residents and visitors are out enjoying the sun and Louise has been doing her activities outside when possible.
Our plants are coming on well in the garden, sweet peas are growing, tomatoes and cucumbers are coming on strong, the beetroot seeds are coming through too, so there is lots of produce to look forward to later in the year.
We have enjoyed many other activities, games, story-telling, and quizzes and a lovely church service following the Coronation.
Chris from Otterhampton came in to play the organ and we had a lovely morning of sing a longs.
We're looking forward to more activities in the garden in the coming month.
