December started with an assortment of Christmas festivities the first of which was decorating the Christmas tree. The residents did a great job, the tree looked great and it got us all in the festive spirit.
Our regular entertainer; Chris came to play his guitar with many Christmas favourites. Chris from Otterhampton also joined us on another day and played some festive melodies on the organ. Chris also played the Carols for the Carol Service which everyone thoroughly enjoyed. It was lovely to have some family members join us for the service followed by tea and mince pies.
Mark joined us again singing some wonderful festive songs. Mark's mum was a resident with us some time ago and we really appreciate him coming back to us especially as his mum; Dorothy is no longer with us.
In art and craft we made mini stained-glass windows and put them in the lounge and dining room which looked really effective. We also made lovely foliage arrangements for table decorations, which certainly gave a special feeling to our dining experience.
Our quizzes, puzzles and other activities had a Christmas twist with something for everyone to enjoy.
