In art and crafts we made pictures using mosaic, either with tiles or a mixture of found objects and tiles, they were all very interesting and very different. We also made Halloween crafts and did some pumpkin carving.
We have had some interesting music sessions, singing and playing the organ, once with familiar favourites and then hymns in our Harvest Church Service. We have also had gramma phone afternoons listening to singles mainly from the 50's and 60's which all belong to one resident's record collection.
There have been some interesting games sessions, we held our first whist drive, one men's table and one women's, which everyone enjoyed. Other morning games have brought a lot of laughter.
We had a well-attended reminiscing session about Queen Elizabeth.
We will be clearing out the greenhouse and perhaps taking our tubs apart and planting up our spring bulbs, hopefully the weather will be kind to us when we decide to do it.
On Saturday 26th November a craft fair is being held at The Clubhouse in Stockland. There will be plenty of tea and cake and it will of course be indoors this time if any family members would like to take the residents across to have a look around.
